Ooo cryo got into the beta?! Nice, and yeah i was watching Vids on youtube about the gameplay, i think if anything its worth a shot cause it looks nice and ill agree the wings look kick ass, and some of the moves are tight. And overall the interactive combat seems wicked.

Best console games ever. Period. Except maybe Road Rash for sega that owned.

I seriously cant seem the fascination in sports game, theres nothing graphically or storyline interesting about those types of games. But then again i've always been one for a story so it makes sense why Adventure/RPG games are my favorites. And puzzles are always a nice challenge (oooo Legacy of Kain series comes to mind all of a sudden). But i never was hardcore Diablo 2 but i did enjoy it and like the story to it. And seriously cant wait for Diablo 3.

The thing about sports games is you get to watch your players develop its almost like leveling a character in wow also you can take control of a team and build it in your own style. Also the way the AI is in the sports games now it requires a lot of thinking and quick reflexes if you play on the harder modes. I noticed in NHL 09 that basically you MUST play proper hockey instead of just doing wrap arounds and shit like that its definitely deeper than people see just by like oh that dude is playing hockey. Theres so much more to it just ask Horrorshow, he is from Oz and he is in love with hockey....they dont even have ice.

I guess the other thing would be is that you'd have to like sports on some level to even want to play it or even know the names of players. I rarely watch any sports (bores the shit out of me) so i only know player names by proxy or stories on the internet.

NHL games are actually pretty amazing, and I've always been something of a rpg nut. Diablos, Kotors, Baldur's Gates, Neverwinter Nights, Fallouts. Delicious.

Still, there's something of the ineffable about executing a perfect play on NHL '09...and we don't even have the sport down here.
